Q. You have been invited to a gathering. You decide to take a basket of delicacies with a bouquet of Calla Lillies. When you arrive, you are greeted with negative looks. You are confused as you know that it is a common occurrence for people to share in baskets of delicacies, and flowers are always welcomed. Where did you go wrong?

Q. You are enjoying a discussion with natives about rules. Just when you think you've won them over to your side, they confess that they have not been persuaded. What's holding them back?

They love to use language and are open to discussions on any topic. However, they have very strong beliefs and not easily persuaded to another’s point of view. They are intuitive and use rules as guidelines only.

Q. You are expecting to hear from top officials as to their decision of whether or not to work with you. It has been a while and you are tempted to send an email asking for their decision. Is this a good idea?

No. Decisions are made by a consensus of all involved and not only by top officials. This may slow the process down. Being impatient shows a lack of credibility and puts you at a disadvantage.
