Q. You've shown up for the meeting on time. However, none of the Greeks have arrived. One hour has passed and they're still not there. You decide that maybe punctuality is not valued. The next meeting time, you decide to take your time getting there. Have you made the right decision?

Answer [-]

No. You must always be punctual although punctuality is not generally stressed by your Greek counterparts.

Q. A group of Greeks, both males and females, have invited you out for the evening. You're having fun dancing. When you return to the table, a rude man comes up and hits on one of the females. When you look at the other gentlemen at the table, you notice that they are smiling. Are they enjoying the antics of the rude man?

Answer [-]

No. Anger is sometimes expressed by a smile. It could be that any moment, the males at the table will get up and teach this man a lesson.

Q. Upon leaving a restaurant, you pass a table where a woman is wearing a beautiful necklace. You tell her how much you love it and how beautiful it is. You continue to say good things. You feel that you are making her feel good about what she has chosen to wear. However, there is a turn in events.

Answer [-]

Greeks are very generous; if you compliment an object too enthusiastically, it may be given to you.
